One of those weeks
Thursday, November 13th, 2008It started out awful. Just awful. Dan had a fender bender, which busted his chin (requiring seven stitches!), and about $1000 in U-Haul truck damages (don’t get me started…what a joke). I had to cancel my massage (ugh!), and the rest of the day was thrown out of loop.
Tuesday came, I rescheduled my massage, and our granite countertops were installed. They. Look. Amazing. This, I believe, was the turn-around to a better week.
Because then Dan found $5 outside his favorite downtown pub. Yippee!
I found pillows at JC Penney’s on sale (cheaper than what I could make right now…but don’t worry Michelle - we’ll get to that project eventually!).
Our plumbing inspection was passed yesterday afternoon. All we have left is our sprinkler inspection, then our final inspection, and lastly, the health department comes in to give the A-OK!
And then last night, I was packing my office, and I found an envelope I had stored away YEARS ago, with a large sum of cash in it. I’m talking, enough for a haircut and dye job for me, plus a used video camera for Dan! (Should I use this instead on U-Haul fees?? Nah…)
So, with it being Thursday, this week has quickly turned around to a better week!
We hope to have an open house late next week, and start showing movies next weekend at the new space. Keep your fingers crossed, and think good thoughts! Even though it’s all good stress, it’s taking its toll, and I need the help of positive thinking!
Hope all is well with you.
