What a fantabulous weekend! Dan and I took Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off from the theater and went to a documentary film festival up in my favorite Missouri town, Columbia. It was the most perfect time ever (well, except when we got a call from our employees saying the popcorn popper pooped out and died).
Highlights: thai food. Glorious thai food from Bangkok Gardens. Lots of coffee. Free wine and vodka. Lots of chocolate. Weather so cold that I got to wear my new coat. Oh yeah, and eight absolutely amazing documentaries. We had tickets for 10, but were so exhausted we couldn’t keep up with all of them! Plus, did I mention there was free wine and vodka?
One documentary we saw was called THE ARMSTRONGS. It was a crazy Office-like film following this insane husband-wife business team. Do I smell sequel? Ha ha. I told Dan that if we had a documentary made about us, I doubt I would watch it because I’d probably be edited and manipulated to look like such an awful person.
It was a rejuvenating weekend, so much so in fact, that today I was really sad to have to go back to work…even though I love work.
Now I’m just counting down the days until our next vacation (in May)!
