Already?
Yesterday I went to the grocery store to pick up fruit. Here are the questions that ran through my head:
Why are strawberries $3.99 for half a pound?
Why are the pears front and center?
Where did all the berries go?
Starfruit? I haven’t seen starfruit since last October…
Then it dawned on me. It’s already SEPTEMBER. Fall is just around the corner (and coincidentally it falls on the day of The Moxie’s grand opening). I’m definitely going in to panic mode now.
And how am I supposed to start a nice, productive day if I wake up to horrible news on The Today Show about stranded pets in the south? I gave my dog a hug.

One of the vet hospitals here is driving down south today to pick up some of the animals. Poor little pups and kittens and squirrels and bunnies and alligators.
Hmmmm…maybe I can adopt one for my little Millie.

That’s why I *don’t” watch the news…not giving myself a (nother) reason to cry!

I went to the grocery store the other day and they had those cinnamon smelling brooms set out all over the place. It was kind of awesome because it drowned out the smell of the produce section which has lately had me gagging when I walk into the store.

Alex and I did a little shopping yesterday; just needed a dozen or so items.
First thing I see when I walk in the store? A table laden with caramels…buy two, get a free bag of apples!
I, uh…gave in. Not for caramel apples, mind you. But it was 1. a good deal and B. a small way to try to convince myself fall is really coming…stupid 91 degrees.
