Hello Moxie
Yesterday, though stressful, was also relieving. For example: we FINALLY got all of our permits, building inspections, business licenses, liquor licenses, etc. I’m picking the last one up today at 9am. That means we can have no popcorn and one case of beer, but we’ll be able to sell it, gosh darn it.
Tonight we have a couple test screenings for friends, family, and blog readers. I still feel totally unprepared, but even if we had set them for 2 weeks from now, we would have been the same. So it’s time to buckle up and get stuff working. But did I mention we have yet to even create our menu on the concession stand? We have (most of) the food, and I figure since these are test runs, it’s ok if we don’t have everything. But we probably need a menu system.
Gahhh. And it’s raining hard core. And I’m tired with only 5 hours of sleep. But it’s going to be good! Wish us luck!
***And as a side note, we have additional family in town this weekend for Dan’s Grandma. She unexpectedly passed away on Monday, which is horrible news, but it’s nice to see all her friends and family come in to visit. One of the things she wanted more than anything was to see this silly theater open! So we are! We love you, Mee Ma!

I said this over on the the Moxie Blog, you two take care of each other. I can’t imagine the stress you guys are under, but I am positive everything with the theater will be spectacular - and I am always right, ask Timmy. I thought it looked great on the First Friday thingy! Really, it is amazing all the work you two have done.
Is it weird that I hardly know you, but I am kinda proud of you?

Sorry about Dan’s grandma . . . but it’s great that you all are doing what she wanted! And I’m glad all the permits came through. Have a “phantom” beer on me! Just kidding! I know you all will have a fully stocked concession in time for the opening!
