Movie #1: SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE
I’ve been jokingly tell all our customers that my New Year’s Resolution is to watch SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE. It’s so embarrassing to show a movie and not have seen it! But now, after showing it for over 3 weeks, I can finally say I saw it! And I kind of loved it.
The story was predictable, but it was told in a unique way. It ended exactly how I would have wanted it to end, even though some people have said it was too “happy and hopeful.” But isn’t that what people need these days? Happiness and hope? I know I do!
On the business side, I’ll have a special place for this movie in my heart because it has been such a huge hit for our little theater. And to have it so soon after our expansion helps Dan and me take a deep sigh of relief. Our first rent check will be a little easier to write, thanks to this film!

Yeah, people who think it was too happy and hopeful are just sour, nasty folks, sorry. Come ON, man, it was so great!

It WAS good, and it has packed the house! Getting people to come in and fall in love with your new place is a good thing!
